We are cruising in October from Rome to Greece, Turkey and Egypt then back to Rome on the Jade. We're desperately looking for reviews and can't find any with that itinerary or even just leaving from Rome, is this a new itin for Jade? I think she was in Hawaii, am I right? But is she new in the Med?

 

Looking so forward to the cruise, 4 countries we've never been to! Advice anyone?

Jade has been in Europe for a few years now. We did her from Barcelona, hitting 2 of those ports - or was it three... forget.

 

You should find lots of reviews, both mini reviews and full reviews. The ports might not always match, and some may have started in Barcelona. (mini reviews would be message postings like this one that people do right after they get back)

Have a wonderful cruise, I was just reading a mini-review on the forum for the Jade, and they were happy with it.

 

Go over to the ports of call boards, it will help immensely with your port excursions. Gosh I would love to go on that cruise. I was in Egypt a few years ago at a resort on the Red Sea, the people are very friendly and warm. They will also be persistent in asking you into their shop, having a cup of tea, chatting and then asking you to buy something.

 

BTW, the tea is very nice there, a bit of a herbal infusion and it was quite refreshing even though it was served hot.

 

Turkey has a lot of threads on that port board as well. Sounds like an interesting place to visit, the Blue Mosque, bazaar and spice market. Hope you have enough time to do your homework. ;)

We sailed the Jade almost two years ago on an almost identical itinerary form Barcelona.. There should be plenty of reviews from the last couple of years.. Great ship, great crew, great itinerary - just new sailing from Rome.. If there is anything specific you would like to know, just ask!

Thanks Robin, I just thought it odd that we can't find any from Rome with the same itin, apples to apples as they say! But while we've been on 13 cruises most have been Caribbean and Mexico and they repeat over and over and over so it's easy to find a review for an identical one.
