When to pay Auto tip on Carnival?

I just paid our final payment to Carnival for Dec 10 sailing. When do we pay the Prepay tipping? Is the price still $10 PP times 7 days?

They will charge your S&S daily on Carnival if you don't pay it in advance. You can call anytime and give them more money...it will show as a credit against your account.

Yes. It is still $10a day per person.

 

You can call them at anytime with your booking info and prepay if you would like.

It's been 2 years for us since we've been on Carnival, but they just charged it onto your account the first day for the week.

Yes, the auto tips .. are automatically added to your S&S if you dont prepay. usually the first night or first sea day they will show up on your account.

When you pay your tips has nothing to do with with boarding at all. Makes no difference how you do it when you board.

Nope. It has nothing to do with boarding. The only thing that makes the boarding process go faster is filling out your boarding pass online ahead of time.

 

Some people like to prepay because it is one less thing they have to worry about paying later. Others like to experience the service first, have on board credit or something they want applied to the tips once they board the ship, or just want to pay them later.

 

It's really a personal preference. One is not wrong or better than the other.

 

I personally prepay whenever I can just to get them out the way. I also prepay as many excursions and other things as possible too. I just like to have as much of my vacation paid for upfront before leaving home. Everyone is completely different though.

We usually prepay when we pay for the cruise... whichever cruise line. We think of it as part of the cruise cost.....

Just makes the onboard expense account seem smaller at the end of the cruise! :)

Thanks. I guess we will pay the tip now. The only thing we have left would be the hotel room in MIA and taxi ride back to airport.:)
