Sandy Sails Posted September 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2011 The Adventure is a larger ship and has more activities to offer. I personally prefer Serenade but then again, I'm not 25 with a family ;).
sue7045 Posted September 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2011 I have been on the Serenade and although it was good, I perfer Adventure. My favorite is the Explorer family and the Adventure is in the explorer family. Bigger ship, Royal Promanade and a better layout. It didn't seem as crowded. Ashland Posted September 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2011 Depending always on itinerary..being somewhat equal..I would opt for the Adventure over the Serenade in the Southern Caribbean...if that's where you're considering...
roe2ship Posted September 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2011 I prefer the Adventure. The pool areas on the Radiance class ships are small and loungers are hard to find. The Voyager class ships have a better flow of passengers, way more spacious...with less crowded areas.
celebrity Posted September 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2011 I agree with the previous posters. I've sailed both & Adventure is the way to go.
vickiw0318 Posted September 28, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2011 The only thing I miss when I sail the Serenade (vs the Adventure) is the Cafe Promenade. Other than that, my score is Serenade 3, Adventure 1. Last cruise was on the Serenade was with my 27 year old DD and it was one of her favorite cruises ever. Sequim88 Posted September 29, 2011 #8 Share Posted September 29, 2011 If both are doing a Southern Caribbean route consider that these tend to be so port intensive there is little time to take advantage of the extra features of a Voyager class ship like Adventure. Most people find that their day is consumed by time on an island and only end up using pool or other ship features on a sea day. Radiance class ships like Serenade have a larger amount of glass (especially compared to Generation I Voyager class) and sweeping views of the islands whereas the Voyager and larger ships are more inward focused. Smaller Radiance class ships are nice too if only cruise ship in a port because crowd in town will be less.
