What's Instant Stain Remover Do YOU Pack

I can count on spilling or dribbling something on my clothes, never fails. What's your favorite instant stain remover to pack ?

What's the real secret to Downey Wrinkle Release ? When I tried it on my last cruise it was so-so. How damp does the garment need to be after spraying ? Maybe I didn't spray quite enough.

Any other clothing tips ?

I second the Tide To Go stick for dribbles and stains.....it is fabulous and I carry one with me in my purse all the time too!! None of the wrinkle removers work very well for me, just steam them in the bathroom when showering, or use a damp washcloth over the fabric works well too.

I love Downy Wrinkle release. I lay the item flat on the bed, spray until it is slightly damp and smooth with my hands like an iron for a minute or two. I let the item lay there while I put on my other clothing or makeup. It has never failed me. I love it!

I have never had Tide To Go work for me. Maybe I need a few hints? I mean other than not to make a stain in the first place.....:)

I hang our wrinkled stuff in the bathroom right before the "parade of showers" commences, that seems to help. The other thought is to pack non-wrinkley items. :)

I don't pack stain remover, but I do pack about half a bottle of my regular liquid detergent in one of the small travel-sized empty plastic bottles (that they sell in the travel size aisle of your local big-box store). That way I can pretreat and rinse dribbles and wash out swimsuits or anything else small that need be in the bathroom sink.

If my shirt doesn't have a stain or two, then I must have someone elses shirt on.:p The best stain remover out there is called Zout. Most of the restaurant servers I know use it because it is an occupational hazard for them. Spray it, wash it, gone. Good Luck. I am not afraid of wrinkles. I have some permanent ones myself.

Tide to go........check, but remember that it says that if you use it on white clothes NOT to go out in the sun with it on the clothes. It has a form of bleach in it and it will yellow white clothes in the sun. So, since you will probably be in the Caribbean..........

Downey Wrinkle Releaser will work to an extent. First off, pack your clothes the best way you can to reduce the amount of wrinkles. I use the bundle method.

When you unpack your clothes, spray both sides (I've never used it on anything but cotton or similar materials), the instructions say to tug on the clothes, I do this both length wise and width, then I hang them up. Since I probably won't wear anything new until the next day, it gives the releaser plenty of time to work. About 40%-60% of the wrinkles come out, enough for it to look like maybe you had been wearing it already for a while, kind of wrinkles.

Tide-To-Go...I use it all the time.

Wrinkle Release- Took a bottle on my last cruise. It worked fine but I had an accident with it in my luggage and I won't be taking it with me anymore. I find that a damp washcloth helps best when trying to get wrinkles out.

I seem to always have a butter stain on lobster night and a lobster bisque stain in the same spot on every cruise no matter how carefully I try to eat.

I've used Tide stick and the stain is still there. Is there another product to use for butter stain?

I'm leaving for the Miracle in 63 Days, I'm so excited.

We have tried both the tide stick and shout wipes... both seem to work equally well. (Just make sure to well rinse either before sun/heat exposure as they will alter the fabric color permanently due to bleaching)

I LOVE Downy Wrinkle Releaser, but you have to do it right! It works best on cotton fabrics that have at least a little stretch. It is not as good on linen and I've never tried it on silk. It works best when you lay the garment out flat on the bed and spay the back then flip and spray the front. Now here is the real secret... leave it laying flat till it is totally dry then it will remain wrinkle free when you pick it up to wear it.

I also pack a "Steam Buddy" hand held steamer for linen pieces, my dresses and my hubby's suit... Mostly because I don't trust the irons in the laundry rooms =)

I have given up trying to pack things in a way that helps them remain wrinkle free... I was a flight attendant for several years and am platinum with CCL... I've tried every suggested way of packing, bundling, rolling, tissue paper, hanging bags, suit cases with special dividers... and clothes always wrinkle. So, now I just pack to take as few luggage pieces as possible and spend a few minutes a day releasing or steaming wrinkles away =)

I always keep a Tide To Go in my purse, but I don't carry it around the ship. What also works great, are the moist hand wipes that come in a small pkg. They work just as well as the Tide and are easier to carry. They keep a supply in the casino at the cashier's cage.
