Merrie Monarch

My TA just sent me an email that he has a company that will include the Merrie Monarch. I'm a bit skeptical since tickets don't go on sale until January. I'll keep a lookout for the 2005 cds.

The big news this year is that Robert Cazimero returned to the festival with a halau. His kane (men) took first place overall! (they looked really good, too). The kane overall I felt were stronger than the wahine this year. Though I'm still a big fan of Kamuela (who still took first in the auana division but I thought that their kahiko this year was kind of boring).
