Celebrity Alcohol Policy Aus vs US

Can anyone who has cruised Celebrity in Australian waters comment on Celebrity's alcohol policy in Australia, in comparison to their policy in the US. Is it the same?

Guests*are*not*allowed*to*bring*beer*or*hard*liquor*onboard*for*consumption*or

*any*other use.*Guests*wishing*to*bring*personal*wine*onboard*with*them*at*the*beginning of*the*cruise*may*do*so,*limited*to two (2)*bottles*per*stateroom,*but*when*consumed*in*any*

shipboard*restaurant,*bar,*or*dining*venue,*each*bottle*shall be*subject*to*a*corkage*fee*of* $25.00.*Alcoholic*beverages*that*are*purchased*in*ports*of*calls*or*from*the*onboard*shops*

will*be*stored by*the*ship*and delivered*to*guest's*staterooms*on*the*last*day*of*the*sailing.

 

I just found this on Celebrity website.

 

So it looks like two bottles of wine per stateroom at beginning of the cruise only.

 

We are not heavy drinkers, but do like to try local wines, when we travel.

 

Does anyone know whether Celebrity serves local New Zealand wine on board their ships, which cruise from NZ?

Yes, they operate the same policy.

 

When they were last here, they had some local wines but it was only a small proportion. I don't know if that's changed this time as they've upgraded local operations since then (meaning they're in a better position to now than they were then).

I hope they do, as I'm sure overseas cruisers would like to try New Zealand (and Australian) wines also.
