kwoody Posted October 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Hey guys, My Fiancee and I are getting married on NYE of this year. We will be sailing out of San Juan on the second. Being that the previous week is being held over for a day that makes our sailing a 6 day. What are we to expect different with an itinerary such as the one we have? Anything that is normally cant miss be cut out? One formal night? Also since it is so port heavy would the casino only be open on our day at sea? We recently dropped our balcony and upgraded to a WS to take advantage of some of the perks related to the suite tier, so we have mixed feelings about that but would love to try them out before Princess comes to our home port of Galveston. Thanks for your time!
Vexorg Posted October 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Generally on Caribbean itineraries the casino closes when the ship is in port, but opens shortly after the ship departs and stays open while the ship is at sea. I believe there are some ports (I know of Grand Turk, not sure of any others) where the slots actually remain open while the ship is in port too, but no table games. That is what I figured but thought maybe it would change since we have such short distances between ports. I have no idea of the rules. But since it is our honeymoon I doubt we will be in there much but we do like to play a little.
DevilinaBluDress Posted October 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2011 We're on that cruise, too. From what I could find, there will be one formal night. Molly

Rare geoherb Posted October 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2011 I checked the itinerary for your cruise. The ship is scheduled to leave most of the ports at 6 p.m. and one at 4 p.m. The casino will open shortly have you have sailed, so you will be able to enjoy it every evening. I'm betting the formal night will be after you're in Antigua, since that is the port you sail from early. Your one sea day is the last day of your cruise, so formal night definitely won't be that night.

I have also checked out the roll call and posted there.
