This is our first rccl cruise - other cruise lines stateside or Europe allow you to check in starting at 11 AM. I just checked some documents and it says 2:00 PM which seems very late for a 4 PM departure. Does anyone know how early We can go to the ship?

Even for Caribbean cruises, they normally list boarding time as 2.00pm, this allows time for any customs problems or inspections the ship may have on docking, normally boarding will start around 11.00am provided everything went well on the last voyage. The main exception to this is when your sailing is the first one after a TA, then USCG, BCP etc do a lot of inspections and it takes a while to clear the ship
