man-made beach?

I thought I read a post some time ago..like a year or two..that there is now a man-made beach within taxi ride of the "tourist village" in Belize City? Yes, or no, please? Any comments?

Cucumber Beach in Old Belize.

It's mainly used by locals and isn't necessarily open every day on weekdays.

Thanks. I actually googled this after I posted and found Cucumber beach. Not much on Trip Advisor. The link you provided has an email address, so I sent some questions. Sheryl Banks answered almost immediately. She advised that entry to the beach area is $10 pp adult and $5 per child. She did not know taxi cost from the Tourist Village. So now I hope someone can provide a price on the taxi for 3 people.

minesweeper, you must have been to Belize a lot, as you are very knowledgeable about it! Just fyi, I just asked about whether Cucumber beach is open daily and was advised that it is and that there is a lifeguard there daily as well.
