Hyatt Pier 66

There are stores and restaurants on 17th St, over the causeway. Bimini Boatyard is one of our favourite restaurants just next to the Renaissance. There is a Walgreens opposite there and more shops and restaurants further along including a great bagel shop for breakfast.

There is a 7-11 or something like that right across the street (follow the driveway out across the traffic lanes). Across the bridge (adjacent to Pier 66) are many good restaurants, a Publix and Winn Dixie as well as a Total Wines and More for those who have yet to arrange their take along supply. Also the restaurant at the hotel by the pool is actually quite good. There is also a restaurant above the marina office (down the boat docks) where we have eaten and enjoyed a view of the water. Enjoy your stay and your cruise.

I don't think the rotating restaurant is open as a restaurant. They might still have sunday brunch. Pelican's Landing and Grill 66 are good. Over the bridge are Bimini Boatyard, Bravo, and Market 17. Any other restaurants (and stores) are quite a walk from the Hyatt, although there is a convenience store across the street.

We are thinking about this hotel for one night before our cruise, we need to buy our wine in the morning before we board the ship as we are getting in quite late the night before.

Does the store across the way sell wine and how far is the walk to the Total wine and other stores?

Is there a shuttle from the airport and to the port?? Thanks in advance.

As I have read in earlier posts on this board, be sure to check on times that wine/liquor stores are open and able to sell at retail. On Sundays in some states, alcohol sales may not occur until 12 noon. Just a thought.:D

In Fort Lauderdale, you cannot purchase alcohol anywhere before noon on Sundays, unless you are ordering a drink at a restaurant.
