Carlyzmom Posted November 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Will a regular bottle of wine fit in the refridgerator in the cabin? Or would it be better to bring a 4 pack of the small bottles? Is that allowed?
Lv2Camp&Cruise Posted November 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2011 You can ask your steward for an ice bucket to chill your wine. That is what we do when we don't take a cooler.
westview1 Posted November 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Our cabin steward brought us a bucket and kept replenishing the ice everyday. The refrigerator in the room does not really get cold, it is more cool. It is stocked with drinks and liquor, but your cabin steward will empty it out for you. The policy for bringing wine on board is pretty explicit and they enforce it. From the FAQ section on the web site. Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board. However, at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring on board one bottle (750ml) of wine or champagne, per person, only in their carry-on luggage. So even if the bottles are smaller than what they allow, you will most likely only be allowed to bring on 1 of the smaller bottles.

Here is a link to the rules for the liquor and beverage policy: http://www.carnival.com/Funville/blogs/faqs/archive/2010/04/09/what-is-the-liquor-and-beverage-policy.aspx If you ask the cabin steward he will provide a bucket with ice for the wine. golfadj Posted November 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Put the wine bottle in sideways and you should be fine. Remove stuff in it as needed. Have found as long as frig is closed all day wine is reasonably cold and we add ice anyway.
