790294 Posted November 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Anyone ever booked a future cruise when on the ship? Is there any great saving by doing so? I had hoped next winter's brochure would have been out by now so I could compare web/TA aginst the ship for 23rd November. 1 year ago today (well the Friday anyway since the 12th is now a Saturday) we sailed of on the Destiny doing Colourful Coasts:( 2 weeks to go and on the Dream this time:D
GinoG Posted November 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2011 We enquired about booking for a Med cruise in June whilst on board the Destiny during a Caribbean cruise in February. The only "perk" offered was free cabin booking saving £39 - the prices quoted were more expensive that booking from home.

I got the same price as Thomsons online plus free AI and a free £39 cabin booking so it turned out OK as I got the cabin I wanted. Generally I don't think you save much, if anything. We were offered a good deal though, something like £200 or £300 off the total brochure price. Having decided against booking then, we came home, thought about it and booked it anyway, missed a chance to save some cash!
