BeccaBecca1713 Posted November 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2011 No, but that's because I make sure to sit on the opposite side of the ship where smoking isn't allowed. Easy peasy

RMM34667 Posted November 11, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I LOVE smoking on the Lido deck.. Early morning with my coffee.. Late afternoon with a DOD.. Late at night while I read.. But if I can't do that I guess I'll smoke on my balcony..
goingsailing Posted November 11, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Nope. Smokers have to smoke some where and I'd rather it not be on the cabin balconies.
cruznlobo Posted November 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I voted NO...But did you ever notice that the bar on the non-smoking side is usually CLOSED?
RenoNanaOz Posted November 11, 2011 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Does smoking on the lido deck bother you pleas dont turn this thread into a bashing thread just want to see what people think so if you could just make your vote thank you Smoking does not bother me but... it's the smokers who put their cigs out in a glass and leave it on the table. Or put it in a bottle next to their chair and then leave it so it can get spilled. I know a few bad apples right.;)
keysjohnson Posted November 11, 2011 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Smoker here. No it doesn't bother me and I always follow the rules as to where to smoke. But some smokers are so messy! I hate to see cigarette butts on the pool deck or anywhere for that matter. It's uncalled for and makes all smokers look like pigs. Especially since the ashtrays are readily available and there is no excuse.
elcuchio24 Posted November 11, 2011 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I like how the DOES NOT BOTHER ME AT ALL is the only one in all caps. Plus there are two options if you want to vote no. Hint hint?? I'm just glad the board is back on smoking and away from the tipping scandel.:)
lyn.net Posted November 11, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Does smoking on the lido deck bother you pleas dont turn this thread into a bashing thread just want to see what people think so if you could just make your vote thank you Let's get honest. The smokers need some place to smoke and nothing is going to change that fact. When they smoke in the bars, they are bashed. Casino, same thing. Their cabins, ditto. So, what better place to have as a designated smoking area than the Lido outsidearea? Especially an area that can be avoided by non-smokers? Not everybody can afford to book balconies. Crusin6 Posted November 11, 2011 #13 Share Posted November 11, 2011 has anyone figured out yet that the first and second choices are the same? So the poll is skewed...there is no arguing it. Happy ks Posted November 11, 2011 #16 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I don't cruise Carnival, but this is normal on almost all main stream cruise lines. I voted no as I just make sure I don't go to the smoking side of the ship...on any line.

FlaGrl4Evr Posted November 11, 2011 #18 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I'm not a smoker and it doesn't bother me at all. I have never seen a smoker on a cruise deliberately blowing smoke in my direction. The ship is moving, the smoke blows away, I'm on a cruise........life's too short, no problem. JMHO :)
photojunkieEMT Posted November 11, 2011 #19 Share Posted November 11, 2011 No, but that's because I make sure to sit on the opposite side of the ship where smoking isn't allowed. cathyz Posted November 11, 2011 #20 Share Posted November 11, 2011 No, smoking in the smoking section doesn't bother me because I avoid it, but the smokers who smoke in the non-smoking section on the Lido or casino bothers me and I will say something to them (saw several of those last month on the Spirit). Miller_KC Posted November 11, 2011 #25 Share Posted November 11, 2011 I don't like breathing cigarette smoke but as long as I can get away from it and not give up something I want to do then I'm ok. If there is something I want to do bad enough but there is no offering of it in a non-smoking venue then I usually suck it up and breath the smoke. I don't set there and complain. Carnival is not doing me any favors by banning smoking in cabins, I would much prefer it there than in the public areas.
