New look for port at Auckland?

I was just checking the cams for Sea Princess , in town today, and noticed something missing....

Can you spot it , or am I a bit behind the times.

There is no big red iron fence along the waterfront anymore,

or any gates onto Queens Wharf.

Does this mean the public are at last being granted access?

Plans are underway for a new cruise terminal on the wharf,

but I did not know anything had been approved so far.

Sorry Kiwi Kruzer, I hate to say it, but your a bit behind the times! :o, as the public has been able to access Queens Wharf on & off for a while now,

I have taken many cruise ship photos from the Wharf (although they did close it for a while to get the Wharf ready for the Rugby World Cup, when they built the cloud),

and the big red iron fence along the waterfront is still there!!!, this web cam capture:

Shows it off a bit better and also have a look at these photos I just posted, if you look at the 2nd image down, you will see some of big red iron fence.
