Clothes Hangers?

Do we need to pack hangers for our upcoming cruise on the Statendam? There are two of us with the usual amount of clothing.

Ample supply of hangers in the wardrobes ... no need to pack any.

There will be wooden hangers in the closets. If you need more hangers, just ask your cabin steward for some.

 

The additional hangers provided are usually metal or plastic ones (the kind you get from the cleaners) that take up less space than the wooden ones.

 

To gain more hanging space, you can remove some of the bulky wooden hangers and replace them with thinner metal ones if you wish.

You will generally find plenty in the closets. I've had to request more hangars only a couple of times, and they were quickly provided by our steward.

There are hangers but we always take 3-4 extra and have always used them.

Even though the cabin steward will bring extra hangers if needed, the stewards are so busy on embarkation day that I find it easier to pack a few wire hangers or to pack shirts/blouses on wire hangers so that I have plenty of hangers without having to bother our cabin steward.

I find a multi layered skirt hanger invaluable whenever I travel.

If you don't find enough in your cabin, just check with your steward. He will gladly find more for you.
