kitsVA Posted December 1, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2011 How much is the taxi from international pier to chankanaab? Is it one price or per person We paid $10 from RCL pier. I think that price is good for upto 4 people. It's an amazing place if you want to snorkel all day. Some pictures of the place.

cleocasper Posted December 15, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2011 can anyone tell me how hard it is to get a taxi back to the pier at the end of day? are they readily available? thanks
volive Posted December 15, 2011 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Yes, there are usually 2-5 cabs sitting out front waiting to take people back. If not, they have someone dedicated to helping you with transportation, he will be more than happy to call you a taxi.
Rare mitsugirly Posted December 15, 2011 #8 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Very easy. There were cabs setting there waiting and someone there at the steps putting people in cabs as they pulled up. There was no wait. :)

Rare mitsugirly Posted December 16, 2011 #10 Share Posted December 16, 2011 Can you bring your own snorkeling gear and snorkel on your own or do you have to do it with a paid excursion? Pictures were beautiful! You can bring your own or rent everything for $10. You can rent a life vest for free with your license at the life vest stand. You snorkel on your own at Chankanaab-no excursion. :)

PreciousCruiser Posted February 15, 2012 #13 Share Posted February 15, 2012 I believe if you just want to go to the park to visit without doing any of the other activities (Dolphin Swim, etc.), you just show up. But if you want to do an activity, I'm sure you want to book that in advance. Also if you book an activity the entrance fee is included. We plan to go, but will not be doing an activity. The entrance fee is $21 pp, but we have a $2 off coupon so it will be $19 pp. Here's the coupon: http://www.cozumelinsider.com/images/specials/ChankanaabCoupon.pdf. And here's some other info. about discount codes: http://www.cozumelinsider.com/dolphins. Also ck out this "Home" page and google Chankanaab. Not sure if activity prices are different on different websites. I know there is a $1 special for the 2nd one if you buy a Royal Swim, but I think that's for NCL cruisers only, but not sure on that. Ck out http://www.dolphindiscovery.com. ENJOY....
