JS location on Allure

I'm looking to get information for anyone that has sailed on the Allure. We are looking at JS cabins on the hump for a sailing in December 2012. There is 1 on deck 6 starboard and 1 on deck 8 port. Which deck and location would you prefer and why? I should also add that we will have our 2 children with us as well, if this makes a difference when choosing locations.

Pick the deck closest to where you think you'll spend most of your DAYTIME hours....it sure makes life easier if you can run back and forth to the cabin via the stairs, rather than using elevators! Being near the hump is a great convenience, too!

I would take the starboard side..unlike other RCI ships Oasis/Allure docks on the starboard side..Enjoy :)

Is deck 6 too close to the water? If I am on the hump the lifeboats won't block the view down to the water...right?
