Some unusual pics from my Mariner 27th 2011 sailing.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.

This was my third cruise ever, my previous two cruises were also with Royal so I'm partial to them.

I've never done a Cruise Review before, and unfortunately this isn't going to be one either. It's been almost two weeks since I got off and I forgot some of the basics like which day was formal, what happened when, etc. Next time I'll write notes so I can remember to write up a review.

I'd still like to share some of my pictures though. These are pictures you may not see in everyone's review. things like toiletries, open balcony dividers, posters, bridge, etc.

I'll let you know I stayed at The Tremont House in Galveston, Texas. This was an excellent choice and everything was perfect. Here is a few pictures from that stay.

The bedroom, it has really high ceilings.

This is the Diamond, Diamond Plus, suite, etc waiting room before boarding. Nothing fancy at all and just as busy as it is in the regular area.

The suite had a Flat screen TV, which was nice.

Two grand suites with the balcony divider opened.

Toiletries provided to guests in suites.

Nice post. Question - In the shot of the bridge there seems to be a curtain that would wrap around some of the control apparatus. any idea what that is for?

they close that around the area where most of the monitors are so the lookouts can still see out in the dark. It's to keep the ambient light from the equipment back there from ruining the night vision of the bridge crew.

Ah that makes perfect sense, how clever!

That's a pretty nice view of Mariner. Thanks for the pics.
