PelicanLvr Posted December 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2011 We will be flying in to Istanbul in May and need to make a connection to Cappadocia. How long did it take to get visas and clear immigration? We have 75 minutes between arrival and next flight. Thanks.
Rare mj_holiday Posted December 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2011 When we were there 18 months ago, the visa kiosk was on our way from the flight. There were no lines and only took us as long as giving the person our passport and a 20 dollar bill. Double check the cost for US citizens (it is different for different nationalities). iancal Posted December 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 25, 2011 This past September it took us about 5 minutes. There was no line up to speak of however we did arrive later in the evening. You will pass by the Visa area right after deplaning. There are two terminals in Istanbul...international and domestic. They are beside each other and connected. Well signed as I recall. porsena Posted December 31, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2011 On the other hand, we arrived on a late September afternoon and the queue for visas was snaked into several loops. I don't know how long it took to get through. The queue moved fairly quickly - maybe half an hour.
