MaskedTurtle Posted January 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2012 A while back, someone posted a link to a video in which a couple was late for their cruise ship. The couple was running along a very long pier with beach stuff and didn't make it in time. Does anyone know what video it was?

MaskedTurtle Posted January 14, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted January 14, 2012 youtube has a bunch of videos of people watching their ships leave without them I was watching most of them with my sister last night on our tv. I just remember one particular video hitting me funny. I tried doing a quick search, but couldn't find it. That is the one. Thanks!
Lloyd555 Posted January 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2012 I posted this in my Oasis roll call: Watch these to see why you don’t want to be missing the boat... These Dutch passengers from the Liberty of the Seas were late arriving from a private tour due to a major traffic jam in Jamaica. Because it wasn’t a Royal Caribbean one, and they were tardy, the ship left without them! They were escorted by Jamaican police to the harbor, just to see Liberty sail away. Thanks to an excellent coordination of the Liberty’s captain and the Jamaican coast guard, they we were brought back to the ship and had to board by a rope ladder in open seas. Fast forward to 7:20, when they get onboard small boats to reach ship!
MaskedTurtle Posted January 14, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Thanks for the links. My sister, mother, father and I will be going on a cruise at the end of the month, and wanted to "get in the mood" by watching various cruise videos. I think the videos of late passengers have special meaning for us because on our last cruise we were forced to wait in St. Maarten for a number of people who seemed to saunter up to the boat like they were rock stars. The more running there is, the funnier the video.
momof4_tn Posted January 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2012 We just got off Voyager today. We waited almost an hour in Cozumel on several tardy passengers. They were still paging one couple when we pulled out. We saw them show up minutes after we pulled away. The man threw his hands in the air like he couldn't believe it. I understand being a few minutes late but when everyone is told 3:30 don't wait until 4:30 to make your way back. I have no idea if they ever caught up to us or not. JMG680 Posted January 15, 2012 #11 Share Posted January 15, 2012 These videos are why I make it back wicked early to the ship, I would die if that was me, and I do not carry that much money off ship to get a flight to the next port. Hope to never have to worry about this.
