First off thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the Costa cruise disaster. A local couple from Minnesota is among the missing and it is so sad and tragic.

I leave tomorrow for a few days in RIO prior to a cruise on the Star. I am excited and just needed to share it with cruise addicts that understand. All I hear now is how nervous I should be to be going on a cruise. Sad for what happened to costa, but still excited for my cruise.

Our prayers are with the Costa folks too. But I'm still looking forward to our trip this weekend. We have been undated with concerned freinds who think we should cancel.

I too am very excited about my upcoming cruise on the Diamond in February. Many friends who have never cruised are ringing telling me to cancel because of the danger or asking am I nervous about going. I will be elite for the first time as well. This is the first time with family and friends that they have not shared my excitement about going on another cruise. They are not nervous about driving their cars and are more likely to be hurt doing everyday activities.

Cancel?????? What life???? Not a chance, we get one go around. When your number is up its over. You just can't control life. Have a great time on all upcoming cruises.

Airliner crashes, celebrity deaths and ship sinking’s always happen in threes. So we are due for 2 more. I would not chance it if I were you.
