Best choice for Group Cruise booking: Agent or Cruiseline?

Hi, I'm working on putting together a cruise for a group of friends. I was wondering if anyone has any opinions on which is better for the booking: going with a travel agent or going directly to the cruise line? Do you get more perks or a better price with one as opposed to the other or do they tend to be about the same?

You will get better service with a knowledgable agent.

We got a better price with an agent, but I would always check both.

A good TA will take the pressure off of you when countless questions arrise and especially when it comes time to collect $$$.

Cost you nothing and perhaps TA will enhance your Group Amenity with

an additional OBC.:)
