Taxi fare from port to FLL

I was wondering what a van for 6 people or 2 taxis for 3 people would be from the port to FLL airport. Any suggestions of who to use?

There will be hundreds of taxis. About $15 per vehicle plus tip.

there are some van taxis availabley at the port...the ones I've had in the past you pay $$ by the head... ...best you just get two taxis at $15 plus tip per taxi.......

I usually just give the driver a twenty. Covers baggage and tip.

I don't think you can get 6 people WITH LUGGAGE

in a minivan. Doubt that there would be any other type VANS

at the taxi area at FLL

You can get 6 in a mini van. We did this last April. 6 adults, 6 bags and 6 carry ons.

Just a warning. The last two times we have been in FLL, one driver had a hat hanging over the meter or three had large cards hanging from the mirror so you could not see the total on the meter. Twice, they told us a price $5 more than the meter. You are so busy making sure you have tickets and all your stuff, that I just say "how much" and add a tip. When we got to the pier and after paying the driver, my son asked how much I gave the driver and he said " I moved that sign out of the way to ook at the price - He added $5 to it" I know there are many honest drivers but just like other things - there are a few that are dishonest.

 

So, check the meter before you pay .

In Nov we did a flat rate $20 taxi form the airport to the pier and stopped at Total Wine on the way not having to worry about the meter. ;)

At the Port Everglades terminal they also have 9 & 12 passenger vans and there are also a couple of guys that have small cargo trailers for luggage that they tow behind them.
