Sunshine class name suggestions

I guess I'm with DarthGrady. Early on in this thread I was already thinking of..

Dominator of the Seas

Invincible of the Seas

Enforcer of the Seas

Gotta make all those pirates think twice. ;)

If Holland America can have all those -dam ships RCI can stick with "of the Seas".

I think these are worth some consideration ;)

Mirage OTS Dibs on this if there is a competition

Excellence OTS ditto

Titanic OTS

Bulimia OTS

Anorexia OTS (now I'm just getting silly)

Calorie OTS

Extortion OTS

Gratuity OTS...I'll get me coat!

Perhaps you can consider it to be the exception that proves the rule.

The US Navy had an exception to the first ship deal with the Gato class subs in WWII. USS Drum was the first just ahead of USS Gato. So even tradition rich USN has their rule provers. ;)

I would love to see them name another ship "Sovereign of the Seas". I think it'd be a nice tribute to their heritage and to their first ship that put RCI head and shoulders above their competitors. I know I'm dating myself, but do you remember what a HUGE deal she was when she came out?!

I'm getting tired of all the cutesy-poo names they give cruise ships nowadays.

How about some super awesome names for cruise ships?

Marauder of the Seas

M-1 Abrams of the Seas

Vader of the Seas

B_d_ss of the Seas

Conqueror of the Seas

Barbarian of the Seas

Kegger of the Seas

Buffalo Wings of the Seas

Monster Truck of the Seas

Wheelie of the Seas

Blaster of the Seas

Carnival Domination

Carnival Cannon

Carnival Charger

Carnival Chainsaw

Disney Flame Thrower

Disney Dynamite

Disney Destroyer

Norwegian Broadsword

Norwegian Battle Axe

Norwegian Thor's Hammer

I just read this list out loud for DH. He votes for "M-1 Abrams of the Seas", of course. I myself am partial to "Barbarian of the Seas", since we're talking aggressive-type names.

Norwegian Battle Axe is one of the funnier, but I don't do NCL.

There's always "Scooter of the Seas", and "Retirement Home of the Seas", (no offense to scooter-users, or retirees, of course).

I could easily call our Explorer cruise this past December "Moscow on the Seas". Loved the diversity! Hmm, how bout "Diversity of the Seas". No, scratch that. People might call it Perversity of the Seas.

Now I'm getting silly. I had better stop.

Have fun!

Teddie

Actually, Starfish of the Seas sounds cool (if a bit like a can of Tuna or something) :D

How about Starship of the Seas...and add some telescopes on the upper decks? (I do realize that telescopes are not easy to use, as the ship moves). Perhaps an indoor planetarium on board with some lectures, and then do some stargazing out on deck. I always loved going to our local planetarium when I was growing up, but there's nothing like seeing the starry skies in person. p.s. I also like the Illumination of the Seas idea. :)

Since I'm still seeing cutesy-poo names being bandied about, I'm just gonna rattle off a few more super awesome ones to keep it balanced:

Roundhouse Kick of the Seas

Carnival Barracuda

Metallica of the Seas

Skill Saw of the Seas

.44 Magnum of the Seas

Carnival Velociraptor

Tractor Pull of the Seas

Finally, and most importantly:

Chuck Norris

That's it, and that's all it needs to be. It won't need "Carnival", "Norwegian" or "of the Seas" attached to it since all other ships will be demoted to ferryboat status once it launches.
