Rare nattie Posted February 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2012 How crowded Sea Grape really is? I am getting conflicting info... I guess better question is, do ships have shore excursions there? I looked on my excursion menu and they offer only Tiki beach. Can someone please report who have been there recently? Also, may be other suggestions for a not so crowded beach with facilities and preferably playground?
TurtleTagger Posted February 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2012 Crowds are influenced by the number of ships in port. Of the major beach club areas on 7 Mile Beach, only Seagrape (specifically West Bay Public Beach) has a playground. http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php
KristyM79 Posted February 9, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2012 Yikes! 6 ships in port when the VOS will be there. Looks like the beaches will be packed!
kycalgal Posted February 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Wow, that's 14,000 of us descending upon the island! Does that mean the rays excursions will be overrun with people? Maybe that's a good day to find a quieter beach...
Rare nattie Posted February 10, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted February 10, 2012 Thank you TurtleTagger! It looks like there are only 3 ships on my day, so we should be good to go.
