Extra room key / sail & sign card.

I'm traveling solo in my cabin. Would guest services be willing to give me a second Sail & Sign card simply as a room key? IE, without charging privs.

Why would you want to have to keep up with 2 cards?:confused:

Why do you need an extra? S&S will work fine as your room key. And if you lose it guest services will assist in getting you a new one and stopping charges on your original one, in case someone else finds it and tries to use it.

yes..I got an extra room key without charging privileges when we went on the Destiny...one for my kids cabin (so I could go in and wake them up!) and I got one for my kids for my cabin in case they needed me for anything in the night, etc.).

Yes we do this all the time. We have 2 cabins usually with the kids in it and we just get a room key for that room.

 

Just go to the GSD and ask for one! :)

Ahh, I should have elaborated. My girlfriend is a crew member. I wanted to give her a key card so she could come and go as she pleases.

As FYI, crew can't be in a guest cabin unless they have prior approval. If your girl friend hasn't made her request yet she should do so prior to your cruise to security. If she is in your room without prior approval by ship security Unfortunately, at this time, AMD processors seem to conflict with the firmware update process. can be immediately fired if caught. Our daughter had to do this when we visited her.

But seriously, thanks for the advice. She sent a request yesterday and got approval from F&B earlier today. Upon embarkation we both go to the security office and fill out some paperwork and she's good to go! Now if only I could convince them to let me into the crew bar area.... :D

But seriously, thanks for the advice. She sent a request yesterday and got approval from F&B earlier today. Upon embarkation we both go to the security office and fill out some paperwork and she's good to go! Now if only I could convince them to let me into the crew bar area.... :D

 

If you take the Behind the Scenes tour on the last seaday, you get to see the crew bar. Unfortunetely it is not open. Those $1.25 beers taste a lot better than the $4.95 ones on deck.

 

At least she will get certain privileges next week that she normally would not have such as dining with you if it doesnt conflict with her schedule.

 

I will be on the Magic the day you are getting off. I will make sure and tell Sartsiri that "Piggy loves her". :p

HAHA. If you call me "Piggy" infront of her, she'll probably die laughing and spill any drink you have ordered, so make sure you say it before hand! :D

 

We're hoping she will have at least one free night so she can join me in the steakhouse. Unfortunately, her typical schedule on the itinerary I picked isn't really forgiving. We really want to get out into Cozumel, but every cruise this itinerary prior she's had to work Serenity that day. Hoping she can swap with someone. Crossing our fingers!

Bribes! Hrm... Let's call them "Tips":D I never thought of that! We discussed the option last night though and if her schedule is too horrendous, then it is a possibility. If the only way to get a nice dinner with her is to pay someone to cover her shift for a few hours, so be it. Thanks for the advice! :)

One thing I learned long ago of a bar waiter or a bar tender, which one do you want to get to know better? The bar tender as they are the ones mixing your drinks. The bar waiter only brings to you what the bar tender mixed. A good tip and the drinks are sometimes stronger.

 

Tell Sartsiri to look for the guy wearing a lanyard with a whole bunch of Carnival ship pins on it. She is going to have a busy week for my sailing as it is also the Senior Cruise Director's Bloggers cruise. There are going to be several extra cocktail parties that week.

Will do! She's usually behind the scenes in the evenings working the show lounge. She works one or two nights in the comedy club also. Earlier in the day she can be found on Serenity or Casino. I'll warn... errr.. let her know that you're coming! :D

Every ship is different, but you should be able to fill out a form to get a "Crew Family" pass for a 24 hour period. I was able to go to the crew bar this way. Yep, love the $1.25 Stellas. ;)

Awesome! I'll bring that up when I get to the security office at embarkation. $1.25 drink and stock up on that $3 bottled water too! haha. Does that Crew Family pass allow you access to more than just the crew bar? All of Deck 0? Crew mess? She mentioned wanting me to see her cabin, as she webcams with me from there every night, she thinks it would be nice if I could see how she actually lives. Truth me told, I think it would be cool too :)
