Upsell and ES question.

When you are booked ES and then receive and upsell to a higher cat, how does that affect your ability to receive the benefit of ES?

 

Are you able to still receive OBC for the cat you were in?

Would you not be eligible because you are now receiving a better deal?

 

Has anyone had any exp with this?

You are still eligible for ES price drops. You now compare the price you paid to the category that you upgraded to.

 

Once you upgrade you do not compare rates for the old category you had because you are no longer in that category.

I got an upsell call while booked on an ES but it was 2 days before we left on the cruise. You can no longer get the new price at 2 days out.
