Im sorry if this sounds stupid but im not a gambler of any kind.

What did you have to do to get this invite and promotion? I could learn to love slot machines. lol Did you have to play alot on a previous cruise or just register for a slot tournament?

Thanks

CAS seems to be pushing these pretty hard this year - we've got 2 invitations to the first 6 tournaments, a free cruise and upgrade offer (we took them up on that one) and yesterday the offer for the Triple Play. No entry fee to the latest tournaments which is pretty nice. Unfortunately, we are still working and can't take all these offers!

I'm very stupid in this area of casino life...how do you even get involved in a tournament and how did you get your name in a place where they are offering you these opportunities? Is the hope that you will spend a lot of money? Is the point to draw attention to the casinos on ship? Sounds too good to be true. How would I be able to start receiving offers?

I rec'd the same offer yesterday in the mail. Not sure how long I have to book it? It does say minimum of 50 people per cruise, so I think I have some time?

Just cannot commit right now, but loving that one of the choices is 10 days on the Sun!

I think it's all based on your past play in the on board casinos. Spend enough and you will get the offers.

Correct. You can also get the offers based on your play in your local land based casino.

If you're really interested in starting to get these offers there are two simple steps to take.

1. On your next cruise, get a CAS card in the casino, and use it whenever you play a slot machine or at the tables.

2. Go to a nearby land based casino, sign up for their loyalty card (it helps if he casino is owned by the Harrah's/Ceasar's chain) and use it when you play there.

Be aware that the offers won't appear if you just put the odd few dollars through a slot machine. You will need to spend enough, and often enough, to appear to be a regular player who might spend enough on board to rate a "free" cruise.

"Free" is in quotes because you still pay port taxes and fees on any complimentary cabin. And of course, you still pay for everything else you normally would on the ship or on shore.

Just signed up for all three - will have to see which ones I can actually attend (hopefully all three!). Thanks CAS!

I'd like to do this one... though I suspect the medieval regalia would be cumbersome up on deck.

:D.. Damn, took me quite a while to find my typo! Nice catch! And that would make a lovely deck chair, although I think a bit uncomfortable!

Did you have to pay the taxes/port charges up front? If you cancel by July is it a 100% reimbursement?

Thanks,

Tracy

You pay the approx charge of 300 which is the port and tax fee. As long as you cancel before the pay by date you get all of the money back

And here I thought you were referring to the cutie in the pic :) guess you know where my mind is!

I just got comped a cabin on the Star, which we upgraded to an SG :) I wonder if they have these blitzes for anything other than slots. I only play tables, but I play a LOT!

Just booked a 7 day and a 10 day cruise thanks to the NCL slot tournament invitation. Has anyone else booked this promotion? We are in a suite for less than the price of an inside:);):o

I guess NCL wants to get their money back, no doubt sooner than later.
