Our Fabulous Vacation: My Liberty of the Seas Photo Review

Recommended Posts

I really enjoyed the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Salad. I figured I wouldn't have the chance to try something like that at home anytime soon, so I gave it a try. The chicken was packed with flavor. Not a lot of heat, just more curry flavor. Delicious.

The calzone and the tempura. Both looked great and they were happy with each.

Now, I was actually kind of grossed out by my steak with gorgonzola butter. I wish I had gotten the sirloin from the alternative menu.

For dessert, we had the (regular, not sugar-free) key lime pie, which was pretty good!

I think I'll take a break for a while, thanks for reading with me so far. Again, feel free to ask questions or leave comments you think would be helpful to others planning their Liberty vacations.

Up next, photos from the rest of our evening, and a full day in Fort Lauderdale. Our flights didn't leave until 8 and 9 PM, so we had lots of time to enjoy the city. It was a bright, sunny day too. :D

After the show, we went to our last dinner on the ship. None of us was very happy about it.

Just before this shot, I said, "Crystal guess what? Tomorrow the cruise is over and you have to get off the ship!"

That's just mean!:p;) The last night is the WORST! I always pack in the late afternoon, so I can ignore the fact that its the last night !

Love the Crystal bingo story...I was so hoping she get that cruise! ( and we'd get another review;)) I always say that every cruise has some "characters"; Crystal was clearly one of the characters on your cruise!

What a great review!!! I'm heading out on the Liberty on April 9th. Will head to the St. Tropez area for some quiet time. Thank you so much for your insight. I can tell you are a Jersey Girl!;)

Chrystal,

I was going to wait until you were done with your review to comment. However, I just can't contain myself any longer. :D

My wife and I sailed on Monarch two months ago for our first cruise. We were booked on a 5 day Liberty cruise next January almost before the luggage was unpacked back home. To say we've embraced the cruise lifestyle would be an understatement. I am not kidding when I say two months have gone by and we STILL talk about it every day. We have truly fallen in love with cruising.

Thank you so much for your review. You've allowed us to experience Liberty through your eyes as well as the eyes of your friends. Your review has not only answered many questions we have had about Liberty, you've given us so much to eagerly await. It is obvious you enjoy sharing your experiences and your excitement is definitely contagious to those of us enjoying your reviews and pictures.

Thank you again.

January 28, 2013 cannot possibly come fast enough. :p

Or just order it without the butter or on the side next time. I'm not big on broiled or roasted meats with sauce or gravy. I usually request them served "dry" or "sauce on the side". The waiters are very obliging. Anyway, this looks like the weakest menu of the 4 so I'll most likely go to Chops or Portofino on the night they serve it on my cruise. Edited by cruise pup

LOL! The steak itself was just okay....but as I got more and more full, the sight of the butter just made things worse. I think I'll stick with the sirloin, or go to Chops.
Did you find the giant screen above the pool area distracting? I just think it is too much.
You know, I actually liked the screen. It was nice to be able to view what was happening on the pool deck, and it didn't seem to cause that much of a distraction for me otherwise.

I'm so glad to hear you're hooked on cruising, just like most of us here! Welcome to the club! :D So happy that the review has you looking forward to your cruise on the Liberty. You're going to have an awesome time! Please be sure to come back and give us your thoughts on the cruise!

Yeah I wish we had gone to Chops or Portofino that night. The cut of meat itself wasn't all that great IMO. Oh well, we know for next time! :)

Chrystal; 19 days before we sail on LOS. What is the cocktail you love so much & what is in it? Do you know the legal drinking age in Mexico? My boys (all 7 of them) can't wait to drink a Corona on a beach. After reading what you said about Mr Sanchos, I think this is a good place for us adults to keep our eye on them:) They also can't wait to play Black Jack in the Casino (that will wear off once they start losing their money). Also, when I first started cruising in 2003, there was a lovely old couple who wrote reviews. I couldn't wait to sit down at the computer and let them "weave their story" for me. I feel the same about your review.

Loved your review Crystal, it was very informative and the pictures were great. You and your friends have look like you had a wonderful time, even up until it was time to leave.

Just love the Freedom Class of Ships, so much fun and things to do.
