Sailed on the Miracle March 9 - March 17. Short Review - Awesome cruise! Weather was great. Met many really nice folks on this cruise. Watched March Madness with great group from the BBN in the sports bar. Go Lehigh!

Boarding - Arrived at Port Everglades at 9:45. Zone 2. Happily snacking on the Lido by 11:30. Boarding started about 11:10.

Cabin - 8D #7337. Usual nice balcony cabin. Stewards, Casey and Maryfe, new our names when we first met them. Very attentive and friendly the entire cruise.

Dining - We dined on the Lido, MDR and Nick and Nora's. Will rate the food at consistently very good to excellent. Changes noted in MDR menus but lot's of great choices remain.

Ports - St Maarten: Spent the day at Pinel Island. Very nice family oriented beach though it is clothing optional. Many land based guests and few cruise guests. Two good restaurants. First ferry of the day does not leave till 9:00

St. Lucia: Pigeon Island. Two beaches. First, and best, rented out to Wind Star ship pax for the day. Second beach is small but good. Beautiful views across the bay. Many interesting ruins on the island

St. Kitts - Always Cockleshell Beach, more currently known as Reggae Beach. Fun crowded beach. Good food and Wilber the 700++ pound pig.

Wilber's stature seems to have increased over the last couple of years.

Best 45 minute drive with outstanding views along the way.

Ship arrived back at Port Everglades at a very early 5:00. Announced by Captain day before. Due to 7 ships in port on Saturday. Self assist disembark started at 6:30 and we were off and in car by 6:45.

We had a great time and all of our expectations were met or exceeded. No complaints at all.

We were on the same sailing. Had a great trip. Embarkation was easy and getting off the ship was even easier! Chef's Table is a must. Probably the best night of our cruise. Cabin steward Saijai was lovely, and even though we did ATD, we had one favorite waiter, Ozhan, way in the back by the aft windows. Good times.

The only complaint would be that there was confusion and misinformation about what foods contained nuts. My son CAN eat peanuts but not almonds, walnuts, etc. and twice we ordered dessert after being told there were no nuts only to find obvious big pieces! Not a big deal, just be cautious if that is an issue for you.

Happy to answer any questions.

Good Review. We did that same itinerary. The Miracle and that itinerary are still my favorite of all. I'm so sad she's leaving us here in Florida.

We are sad to be losing the Splendor, which we love, and we are getting the miracle and i see lots of people love the miracle and im hoping we do too. What are your favorite things about the miracle?

We are losing the Miracle (we live about 20 mins. from the Manhattan cruise terminal) whom we LOVE and had planned to cruise on again this May, but personal obligations got in the way and when we tried to book for May, 2013, we found that we would have Splendor here instead, so booked her! :) You will love the Miracle; spirit class ships are the best IMHO. Don't forget to check out Gatsby's Garden which is so easy to miss. And don't pay no mind to the grapes! :D:eek:

Hey Relayer...agree about the steakhouse...best food on the sea in my opinion.

This was our first time on the Miracle. Nice ship. Not crowded like the

monstrosities. Eastern itinerary was awesome and

already wishing we could do it again.

Nice review!

Quick question -- do the new flat screen tvs in the staterooms have a DVD player built in? Sailing in 31 days!!

I'd like to know too...boarding on Sunday !!!! :D

If they don't have the DVD player built in, are there jacks that you could plug one into ?

Yes this is a year old, but I'm looking for the same info. Thanks! :)

We specifically looked on our cruises (March, 2012 & March, 2013 re-po), and unfortunately there is no available port to plug in a DVD player.
