MikeNJ1109 Posted March 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2012 My wife and I used to live in Jersey City, right on the River ... there were times early in the morning that we knew it was foggy simply by hearing the blast horns from the cruise ships sailing up the Hudson. Great video, thanks for posting! Michael
sailingnut Posted March 19, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 19, 2012 There was heavy fog Saturday morning, I was heading down to the St. Patrick's Day Parade on the train at 7:40 A.M. This was a cool video!:)

Gregor4500 Posted March 20, 2012 #17 Share Posted March 20, 2012 Cool video. Good example of why an experienced pilot takes control of the ship in the channel.

Zimomiller Posted March 20, 2012 #21 Share Posted March 20, 2012 The only thing missing with that video is the theme music from the movie JAWS Looked like a shark slipping through the seas.....
penwah2002 Posted March 20, 2012 #22 Share Posted March 20, 2012 We were on this sailing and let me tell you it was some eerie for sure. We were up in the Haven so we were high enough to see over the fog but below that you could not see a thing. Was happy when we reached the pier and docked. What a beautiful ship and we had a great time. Once you do the Haven, you'll never go back. The peace and quiet for meals and lounging was worth the price of the ticket alone. Can't wait to go back, made our deposit that is good for 4 years so I'm shopping for the perfect sailing. NCL knows how to treat their guests!!:)
Safeandsound Posted March 20, 2012 #23 Share Posted March 20, 2012 We were also enjoying that fog from our haven balcony. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic cruise. kudos to captain Lars for not hitting anything on the way in :D
