Nachi Cocom question (also on Coz. board)

I posted this on the Cozumel board, but that's pretty slow and I leave home tomorrow morning!!!! YAY :D

My SIL and I decided today to go to Nachi Cocom this time. I've been to Paradise Beach many times, often arriving before their 'official' opening time - the only ones there are the guys cleaning and straightening for the day, and we've been there for an hour or so before everyone starts streaming in. So... if we get to Nachi Cocom before their opening time can we go in? Or will we be out in the parking lot looking at a locked gate or something?? (I think I need a Margarita for breakfast :D)

NC opens at 9:00 local time which may be latter than ship time. We have arrived pre-open in the past and have been escorted in, picked a nice location under our favorite palapa and let the great surroundings soak in.

Paid the balance of the fee a bit latter and the beverages started flowing about the same time.

Not a bad thing with the time difference. Anytime the mass exodus of debarkation can be missed is a plus!

Very much enjoy the calm and serene of Nachi...

You made your reservation, right?

Always.....They have a stated daily limit of 100 but in our five trips to NC prbably never more than 50-60 guests tops.

Have a friend who just came back from a Carnival cruise out of LA to western MX. She went to an all-inclusive resort, ate vegetables, and got sick (she's a vegetarian). I've never heard anybody say anything negative about the food at NC-only great reviews. We're going there in June--our first stop of the cruise. After all the expense and waiting, I'd hate for any of us to get sick at that point.

Are we okay eating the food and drinking frozen drinks or drinks on the rocks at NC?

We got there about 30 min early last Spetember. They let us on the beach and get our stuff settled. We could go into the water. Only thing they didn't have yet were drinks. It was actually kind of nice b/c we got to chat with the employees for a few minutes and get to know them!
