Can't bring soda?

I just called celebrity to see if I could bring some "light" cranberry juice on board for my wife. I casually mentioned I know you can bring bottles of water and cans of soda on, I was told that was incorrect and the only beverages you can bring on board are two bottles of wine.

 

I swear when I sailed the summit in 2009 I brought a 12 pack of coke zero on. She states it's always been the policy.

 

Am I remembering wrong? New policy? Old policy? Phone person wrong?

Soda, water and other non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in moderate amounts.

I take a case of diet dr. paper, but I wrap it in brown paper.

We have had no problem taking a case of coke onboard. The iron and the rum are more difficult, but no problem with the soda.

The reps are clueless. People bring water and soda aboard all the time. Just do it.

We place a luggage tag on our case of water and the porters deliver it to our cabin. The soda we carry on with us in a tote bag. The rep was wrong!

Ok, good to know I'm not crazy and did bring soda last trip. Maybe the written policy is no beverages but it's just not followed.

I just dropped my sister she brought 4 cases of soda and a case of water and they let her bring it on.

We boarded. Luggage tags on bag w two cases of soda. No problem whatsoever. Guess that answers that. Thanks everyone.

I do a 36 pack ( Sam's Club) or tape 4 12 packs together, wrapped in brown paper & tied with twine, so it can be carried.

I remember a pax using a luggage "dolly" (think small hand truck) to bring her soda and water on board with no problem.

I would rather bring more shoes and buy a beverage package.
