Private Island GSC

We will be taking a cruise in April 2012 and we are first time cruisers. My question is are there lockers on the island? How does one keep their personal belongings safe/secure?

No lockers on GSC. Many people buy a lock that they can slip their bag zippers through and lock to the leg of the lounge chair... it's not a straight leg that sticks down.... it's more like the rungs of a sleigh that attach to the frame of the lounger

I wouldn't worry to much as there is a lot of security and staff around plus everyone that is there is from the ship except maybe for the vendors and tour operators. It's NCL private island.

If your still uncomfortable make arrangments with who is beside you to watch each others stuff.

Same thing you'd do at any beach - don't bring valuables, and try to keep an eye on things. Actually, I feel more secure at GSC than a public beach, which we frequent a lot during the summer.

I was worried about the same thing on our first cruise but it ended up not being an issue. I didn't take my Nook of course but we had our camera etc. and everything was fine. No one touched anyone else's stuff at all.

No need to take a ton of stuff off the ship. Just make sure you have your key card and sunscreen. :D
