luv2cruise523 Posted March 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2012 We have to return our rental car to FLL airport day of departure. Any ideas how I will get to the port from there w/o a lot of hassle?
FTLcruisers Posted March 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2012 they have shuttles. Just make sure to allow yourself enough time - plenty of folks miss the ship thinking they could drop their cars off at 4 PM for a 5 PM sailing. Marianne

Ashland Posted March 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Doubtful there will be a shuttle from an aiport rental return ...But easiest way is to take a taxi..for the two of you it will be approx $15-18.00 and will be a 15 min ride....We have done the FLL-Port Everglades in a taxi many times... megr1125 Posted March 28, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 28, 2012 take a cab..only 2 rental companies have the shuttle from the airport anymore..(alamo and national) a cab is faster and about 15 bucks or so plus tip...that way you aren't waiting around for a shuttle that may not be available.. DanJ Posted March 28, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2012 Cab is definitely easiest. When we've taken the bus, there have been times where we sat there for 15 or so minutes until it left. Then when you go into the port, you may get lucky by visiting all the other terminals before they get to yours. As said, the bus is for Alamo and National renters, and the driver did verify the times we have been on it, although others have reported they just hopped on. Do you have to return to the airport though? Alamo and National are only at the airport, as far as I know, but Hertz, Avis, Dollar, Thrifty and Enterprise all have city locations all near the port (not that the airport is that much further than those anyway). Can't say for sure about Enterprise and hardly anyone ever talks about them on here, but the other companies will shuttle you to the port from their city locations.
