Is there a magazine that focuses on cruise ship travel?

My husband and I were looking for a magazine we could subscribe to that focuses on cruise ship travel. Is there such a thing??? We bought one, but when it came in we found it focused on personal boats and cruising.:(

I have a free subscription to cruise travel, it has some interesting articles (and adds) but its not overly heavy on information.

 

If you like to browse it would be something you might like but I would be sure to not over pay for it. It is a very thin magazine.

I used to subscribe to Cruise Travel, and found it informative, but when it came to ship reviews, they were all glowing reviews in order to ensure their advertising $.

Cruise Travel if you can get a low rate (it has some info especially about new ships but not a whole lot of content in general). Porthole tends to be pricey. You might want to try to find a copy to read (maybe at Barnes and Noble) before committing to a subscription.

 

Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel tends to have some good articles about cruising, but also covers other forms of travel plus destinations. Of the three magazines, I find this one the best source of info for me.

We tried Porthole for a couple of years -- way too many ads!! And very little cruise information.

We still get Cruise Travel -- but it doesn't have the information like it did about 25 years ago.

I, too, get cruise travel. It is 99.9% ads. VERY little real info from real people.

 

I sure would NOT pay for it. I watch for it to come up FREE on the various blogs. If I see something again I'll try to remember to post it.

We got both Cruise Travel and Porthole for a while years ago, but like so many others, discontinued them because we found better information on the internet and in travel books.

I just got my last issue of Cruise Travel. As said by others. it is thin. It still is a thrill when it comes in the mail. Shop around for a good price! You can find out anything you want to know on this board, but I understand that you like to hold something in your hand to look at.
