BlondeKajun Posted April 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2012 Has anyone ever rented a car under this plan? I was curious of booking it after my Miami cruise and driving to a relative in Atlanta. Were there any hidden costs? Thanks!
cruisegirl1 Posted April 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2012 I believe it is for pick up and drop off at specific locations. I imagine they need cars at the drop off points. Your best bet is to check with the agency. Maybe they need cars where you are headed. M
JohninDC Posted April 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2012 As the tourist season winds down in FLA they need the cars moved north to other cities -- it is a great deal as long as your dates and final destination match what they need. Good luck! :)
mondello Posted April 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2012 I did it several years ago, from Florida to Ohio. Flew down one-way on SouthWest. They even let you pay the token rate and use the car for several extra days. Promotion is used by the various companies to move the cars North after the peak tourist season. johnsburk Posted April 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2012 I rented under this type of plan. Picked up a car in Orlando and took it to Miami the week before the super bowl in Miami. The only surprise was the taxes and fees, aprox $15 per day.
