Map of Old San Juan streets

You could check out Fodor's San Juan book or Frommer's Cruises & Ports of Call book from your local library or purchase them at a Borders or Barnes & Noble Book Store. Both books have a walking tour map and detail description of all the places to visit.

I checked out both books and xerox a copy of the map to take with me. I actually recommend the Cruises Ports of Call book because it has detail information about all cruise ports.

You could also pick up a free walking tour map at the visitor center in Old San Juan just located in a little park just left of the pier.

I will just caution you that walking Old San Juan seems a bit more confusing than you would think by just looking at a map. I definitely recommend stuying a map ahead of time and having a plan before you just step out of a cab and start walking. Old San Juan is a very interesting place to walk around. I do recommend taking the time to do it.
