Seattle airport hotel

I've been to the area on business and stayed at an airport hotel. I don't recall there being anything within walking distance like a grocery store. The best you may get is a 7-11. Now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing a grocery store when I was in the hotel vicinity, or in the area I went to for dinner most nights.

We always stay at the Sleep Inn Seatac, which runs free shuttles to and from the airport, the light rail service, and anywhere within 3 (to 5, I believe) miles of the hotel itself such as restaurants/shopping areas. Nice, large, clean rooms, excellent free continental breakfast, reasonable rates, two computers for guest use in the lobby, laundry room, and IHOP across the parking lot. Last August, we walked to a small shopping center which had a grocery store and a drug store that was about 3 (longish) blocks away from the hotel, but we could have used their shuttle if we wanted.

We are sailing on Carnival Spirit 5-22-12, booked the 21st at the Sea Tac Super 8, they have a good rating, free transportation to and from the airport, free continental breakfast and there is a 7-11 about 300-400 feet away, the price for the room was right too.

Anyone know if that 7-11 station has booze for sale? The 7-11s here have a few brands of liquor and wine. How about the shopping center that is close to the airport (wine?) - we are staying at Cedarbrook Lodge that is near the airport. Thanks!

Liquor is only sold State-run liquor stores for the time being, although privatization is now underway.

There are several supermarkets that are a short cab ride from most airport-area hotels, or you could just ask the driver to stop at one for a few minutes en route to the ship. For those sailing from T91 (Princess, HAL et al) there's a big Whole Foods just a short distance past the turnoff into the terminal, with easy return access. It's seldom crowded.
