We'll be arriving in Dover about an hour before boarding begins. I'd like to drop our luggage at the pier and leave to tour Dover Castle. This means they will hopefully be taking our luggage aboard prior to our checking in. Anyone see a problem with this? thanx

Whenever we've sailed, we've always left our luggage with the porters at curbside, to be delivered to our cabin later. But we've never left our carry on luggage with medications, etc.

 

However, if you are willing to leave everything, and it is all tagged properly, I don't see any reason why you can't do this.

You can definitely leave your luggage with them if they are open (and they should be at this time). My only issue is the carry on but there are lots of people in Europe and the UK who have them on the streets so it shouln't be a big deal;)
