taxis in Fort Lauderdale

We are staying at the Hampton Inn Ft Lauderdale North Cruise Port one night before our Allure cruise.

 

We are not renting a car since they have the shuttles from airport and to the ship. Are taxis readily from the beach areas and Las Olas Boulevard? We may go to the beach during the afternoon and definately to Las Olas area for dinner.

There are always lots of taxis roaming the streets of Fort Lauderdale and flagging one is not a problem.

Always tons of taxis in FLL. We were doing Las Olas and wanted to head back - had a cab in 3 minutes.:D

If you don't find any on Las Olas, walk though the lobby of Riverside Hotel to the back street entrance to see if there are any there. If not maybe the door man can call for you.
