Need afternoon ideas

We are doing the challenge course at Tree Top in the morning and are looking for some ideas of what to do in the afternoon. We have transportation included back to the ship area...are there shops near there or a beach to check out? We have never been here so any ideas would be appreciated...also is there a place I can print out the taxi rates?

How about local cuisine..any great diners? I love diners..anywhere!

There are shops near the port and also in the port. The Castries Craft Market is right across the road from the port area - it was recently rated as the #3 food and craft market in the world by National Geographic - definitely worth a visit. The produce and spice market is very colorful and interesting, you can get lunch fresh cooked right from the fish market or pick up a local meal, the craft area is great to browse through.

There are also lots of shops in the 2 port areas, including duty free.

There is a beach about 20-30 minutes walk from the port area - Vigie Beach. There are no facilities or chair rentals, but there are a few food shacks and the beahc is lovely - long stretch of beach with calm waters. You can hop across the street to the airport if you need facilities.

Enjoy your visit!

We enjoyed lunch and a "White Sand" cocktail at the Jambe De Bois restaurant on Pigeon Island, not sure if a water taxi can transport you or if you'd need to taxi over. The fort is right there too but we didn't make it up there.
