oldmovieguy Posted April 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Just used the Live Help Chat facility on the Celebrity website, never even knew it was there, have to give it top marks, Celebrity do seem to be upping the game when it comes to customer service. lovestx Posted May 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2012 I've tried using the live chat here in the US but on multiple occasions have given up after no one comes on to help after waiting 5 minutes!
lydnsyd Posted May 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2012 I just used the UK Live Chat a few minutes ago and it was fantastic.:) I've been trying for DAYS to get hold of my Celebrity Cruise Specialist who I booked through to sort out a OBC issue but after leaving lots of messages on her voicemail - i gave up. I only heard about the Live Chat today so thought I would give it a try. I was answered quickly and they have assured me they will get on to their Cruise Specialist Agent and get it sorted and will call me back ...so we shall see:rolleyes: My Pet hate is when people say they will call you back but they never do ...Grrrrr

Kartgv Posted May 1, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Haven't tried Celebrity Live Chat but have used it on other sites for various issues. One of the things I like about it is that you can do a screen print of any point in the conversation to have documentation of exactly what was said - something you can't do with just a phone conversation. gofish Posted May 1, 2012 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2012 I tried it twice yesterday, no response after an hour. second time says it is unavailable. Guess it is better in U K than Hawaii.
In Range Posted May 1, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Just tried online chat and received the following message: "Sorry we are not able to assist you at this time. Please try our click to call function, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you over the phone." So despite the claim of 24/7 availability of online live chat, they do not, as the old joke goes, mean 24 hours in a row nor 7 days in a row, just all periodically added together. If you don't have what it takes to do it right, better not to offer it at all.
In Range Posted May 1, 2012 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2012 I guess this disclaimer explains why our brothers and sisters in England are having good luck with the chat service: For your convenience, we are available 24/7. Our Real-Time Chat only handles inquiries for customers in the US and Canada. By clicking on the "Send" button, you acknowledge that the "Legal Information" and "Privacy Policy" sections of our website apply I think I'm clear on it now. That's why it's not available in Texas.:confused::confused:
