Just got a Sigma 70-200 F2.8 APO DG HSM EX OS over the weekend. A few test shots from the backyard. So far, very happy with Sharpness, Bokeh, Focus speed and stabilization.

 

It is heavy though. Wouldn't carry it around all day.

Finally got some rain here in El Paso. This rainbow was a complete arc - so big I could only get sections.

 

 

 

I decided to check out in front of our house too. Somewhere behind those clouds is a mountain.

Not great photos - but an example of always nice to have a camera with you. Yesterday it was in the 90s here - today we got some rain and hail - very untypical at this time of the year. Flash flooding usually waits for the monsoon season in July - August.

I left my house just before it started and seemed to come home at the height of the flooding. I was gone about 2 hours. I'm not too used to the rural lifestyle - but yesterday I was glad I traded in my sedan for a small crossover.

A little late....travelling for work and all.

 

Impromptu tasting of the brews at an evening with friends.

You can clearly taste the maple and the aftertaste of bacon is strangely pleasing.
