possible to leave southbound cruise at ketchikan?

Wasnt intending to cruise but have been lucky enough to get a cheap departure on Dawn Princess from Whittier in July. Was wondering if it would be possible to depart the ship at our final port of call, Ketchikan, instead of continuing to Vancouver? After a few days of getting out into the wilds we would then fly to Seattle. I am a non-US citizen but as we are southbound it should just be an internal trip from Whittier to Kechikan?

NOPE- there are big fines if you depart this ship before hitting Vancouver. The ship is a foreign vessel requireing a foreign port stop, on a southbound Alaska sailing - this is Vancouver.

You would have to check out via the cruiselines. BUT I would instead look at some of the Juneau/Ketchikan sailings instead with a few US companies- Cruise West is one. The key here is to not pay for time you are not going to be on the ship, I would think?
