I agree on the CHOGS and kids....like a swim diaper is any different than a regular diaper

Why don`t people just think about the rest of the cruisers...JoAnne pointed it out to me...I didn`t go back in the pool after the second day....ewwwwwww

I agree about Serenity on this size ship. No umbrellas. On Legend the clamshells were all broken. I don't want to sit on a sofa with strangers. Most of those areas were empty all the time.

I know...the sofas are not a great idea...you feel like you're invading a private party. Would have been better with small tables and chairs...and then people couldn't have sprawled all over the sofas to take a nap:rolleyes: I just really liked the way the aft on these ships were before. They had a little life to them, but it was pretty much all adults. If they had put the Serenity forward on an upper deck like they did with the other ships, then everyone could have been happy:( Bet that aft bar has seen a big dip in sales:p

Aside from my feet ( a couple of times), no part of me touched the pool or the hot tubs;) ewwwww is right!

Your welcome and Happy Anniversary

You don't have to walk aross the street. They can pick you up on the upper level which is where you walk out right out to curb or take elevator to lower level. We did this and it was much less crowded than the upper level. Platinum got #1 and they were called after self debarkation.

What car service did you use?

I just thought of something......That Aft Bar used to be the place to hang out at night......On the Conquest Class Ships this is where a crowd usually forms in the wee hours when the disco closes and I remember going there on the Legend a few times as well. It was a lot of fun and often I would have pizza and chat with the comedians and some of the other entertainers (i.e. PB players, contract musicians) who I would find back there late at night.

I am guessing that with this being the Serenity area now that this bar is not open late at night anymore. Does anyone know if there is a bar on the Lido open at night???

I literally spent 80% of my time on Spirit class ships back there (day and nite) before they changed it:( That was also a hangout for a number of the officers at nite...they would come back there for a smoke. Now it is only open from 8 am til 12 pm, and since there is no smoking, a lot of the old regulars aren't there at nite. Just dead wasted space. I never hit Lido anymore at nite on this cruise...I imagine the main Lido bar was still open at nite, but I don't know for how long.

They used to have sundae fixins' at the aft starboard side bar every afternoon too. :p Yummy stuff to put on top of the soft serve ice cream. ;) I guess that's not there any more either!:(

I'm not sure if they did that on our cruise, but I don't know how they would have done it. The ice cream is now wedged in a little hallway between the grill and the inside buffet area...hardly seems like enough space to lay out the toppings like they did before. The main Lido got too crazy and noisy for us in the afternoons, so we ended up going back to our balcony to hang out.

We wandered out to the back of the Lido at night. It was completely empty. One night the bar was completely closed when we got there. In the past folks would be at the tables/bar.

Yup, they pretty much ruined a great area on the ship. I guess they figure if the bar sales go down there, the pax will go somewhere else to drink. We did...we went to our balcony! Joke's on them!:p;):D

Everytime I read the title of this thread I get that Supremes song stuck in my head - ALL...DAY..LONG

Reflections of.. the way life used to be...reflections of..the love you took from me. Could be the theme song for all the folks that don't care for the new Serenity area.

And.. now... TAG.. you're it! Let it be in someone elses head now :p

A woman we met on our cruise said that she was in the serenity area at 7:30am and there was stuff on the two chairs next to her. She decided to "lease them out" :) to other people telling the new occupants that someone may come back to claim them. By 3:30 no one ever came back so she just put the stuff back on the chair and left! Sad!

I love this idea!!!

Linny, thanks for sharing your cruise! Just now reading it. I know you guys have a lot on your plates right now, and it's hard to relax when things change. But I do hope all of us on the roll call and FB can make your Breeze cruise enjoyable and a return to the way things were!

Linda, they used to have an ice cream machine right near that bar...by the bathrooms/stairs leading up to deck 10 and I discovered quite by accident that every day about 3pm they would lay out assortments of ice cream toppings. They never put this in the Fun Times...I was a "regular" back there every afternoon! :p We used to hang out at the casino/casino bar at night. Loved the singer...what the heck was his name? I have so many pictures of him. I'll have to look...wonder if he is still there. A lot of the officers came to that bar and had a smoke and a drink. We became very friendly with the engineer. Ah, good memories...sometimes it seems silly to go on the same ship more than once, but it's kind of like "coming home" too! Miracle was like that for us...;)

Sorry to get that song stuck in your head, Vick! But it really could fit those of us not fond of Serenity;)

Thanks Vicki....

Thanks, Stephen! I have all intentions of having a great time on the Breeze...I've been on 10 cruises and have yet to have one I didn't like!:) The people make the cruise for me!

Karen, I am very familiar with the old ice cream station...I used to sit at a table in that vicinity. The sundae's on port days were a nice touch;)

We hung out at the casino bar last year, but we have a pretty big group of smokers, so now with the limited seating at the smoking section of the bar, we usually ended up at Frankie & Johnny's. Tony is still in the casino bar...he was there last year as well...is that who you're thinking of?

Miracle (& Legend) are like coming home to us, too...I know that feeling well!:)

Huh, I love the serenity area. I am not a smoker tho so I am not as limited to space as smokers are. Thanks for the input very interesting. We will be on the Miracle in Sept. Can't wait.

The Serenity area was our favorite. We did not care that we did not get chairs out in the sun (those pod things). We were perfectly happy sitting on the comfy couches all day long. The OP had bad luck with folks sleeping on the sofas but we never saw any of that other than people dozing off in a sitting position...my DH was one of those. :)

We can't wait to cruise on the Breeze next year and hang in the Serenity area. Serenity Now Jerry...

Thank you so much hill6. This is the 2nd year in a row we're cruising for our anniversary, so I wanted to book the steakhouse for that night.

Thanks again.

Nick and Nora's was one of the best dinners we have EVER had...the steak was melt in your mouth...can't wait to eat there on the Breeze...or whatever they will call the steakhouse.

I was on the same cruise as Linny....

Food :

Lido was great compared to our last two cruises...and I hate Buffet`s.

The Omlet stations were great...good burgers...great Chinese food.

COffee sucked...that is all I got on that

Taste:...This was great to have...all were yummy

Comedy Brunch: Didn`t go...my group didn`t talk to me the rest of the cruise...LMAO(kidding)

MDR: We here is where I will say the food is still going downhill...not that it was bad...but rather tastless for me...some was good but was dissappointed.

Nick And Nora`s....OUTstanding food...

Things change...but our group always seems to have a great time regardless of what is thrown at us.

I will miss the Miracle....and don`t think I will sail the Slendor since we don`t know the smoking policy...

ILinny you summed it up great!!!

soooo agree on the coffee...it was the worst. We frequented the Starbucks like place...think it was International Cafe...we made friends with the gal that worked there most of the time and we got extra special treatment and she remembered our names from day 1...

I want to say that I did not mean to discount the OP's original post about their experience in the Serenity area. I would have been frustrated as well had I experienced that.

Maybe next time it will be better...hopefully. :)
