themutis Posted May 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2012 Considering an early Sept cruise from Athens to Istanbul. Does anyone know if the sports platform is open on this cruise. We did the Barbados cruise in Jan and really enjoyed swimming off the back of the ship. Thanks in advance.
6rugrats Posted May 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2012 The sport platform will only be open if the ship is anchored out and if the sea conditions are right. There are never any guarantees it will be open at all. Look for the tendering ports to get an idea when it may be open.
themutis Posted May 21, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted May 21, 2012 Is there an easy way to tell what ports they use a tender at?
PelicanLvr Posted June 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2012 Just got off Windstar last Saturday (June 9) in Athens. The sports platform was to be open only in 2 ports...Bodrum and Mykonos. It was too rough in Mykonos so it was only open the one day in Bodrum. Ship docks in all other ports except Santorini and we were told the sports platform is not allowed to be used there.
