Athens-Istanbul - Sports Platform?

Considering an early Sept cruise from Athens to Istanbul. Does anyone know if the sports platform is open on this cruise.

We did the Barbados cruise in Jan and really enjoyed swimming off the back of the ship.

Thanks in advance.

The sport platform will only be open if the ship is anchored out and if the sea conditions are right. There are never any guarantees it will be open at all. Look for the tendering ports to get an idea when it may be open.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just got off Windstar last Saturday (June 9) in Athens.

The sports platform was to be open only in 2 ports...Bodrum and Mykonos. It was too rough in Mykonos so it was only open the one day in Bodrum.

Ship docks in all other ports except Santorini and we were told the sports platform is not allowed to be used there.
