Gentlemen - What do you wear for Formal Nights?

I have a dark suit (black) that I bring, white shirt, tie. I try and keep the packing simple. I don't dislike a tux, but am a bit frugal.

For the first couple of cruises, I rented a tux and wore it on formal nights. After the second cruise, I decided to purchase one. Other than charity benefits, cruises provide another opportunity to dress up. Everytime I wear a tux, it reminds me of the great time I had at my wedding! We have taken some very nice formal pictures during previous cruise formal nights, and we look forward to a few others when we cruise Alaska at the end of the month.
