Is it cold?

Recommended Posts

I am going on the Dream this Saturday and have started packing. How cold is the A/C inside the ship? I'm am not really worried about the daytime since I know I will be outside for most of the time. I am more concerned about the temp in the MDR, casino, etc in the evening. Will I freeze in sundresses?

I always bring sweaters even in the summer. I wear long pants and long sleeves to the casino every night, but then again I run a little cold.

The way I look at it is that you can always take your sweater off.

Do you get cold at home? I find the interior of the ships to be anywhere from warm to just plain hot, but a lot of people claim they are cold. We run the AC and heat at home between 68 and 70 year round.

If you keep your home in the 75 - 78 range you will probably feel cold.

We are usually hot, but on the ship we were jeans in the evenings (not on deck) and when we go to the shows in the theater, we take a sweatshirt to put on while in that area.

My daughter was just mentioning that to me the other day. She said she was bringing 2 lightweight hoodies (tan and black to blend with her clothes) to wear inside the ship. She said she was freezing inside on her last cruise. I am bringing a sweater for DH and myself. Yes, it is cold in the MDR and theatre. I never had a problem in the casino, but wasn't in there too long (of course, it will be a different story this time as I do enjoy the slots). I was thinking of also bringing a couple of long sleeve shirts and long pants just in case. I have never packed jeans for a cruise, but will this time. I do get cold in certain areas inside the ship. Just more clothes to pack.

I always take a sweater! Dining room can be very cold and so are the shows!. I never wear shorts at night, capris or pants.
